It was all dirt like the middle, we added the curbing and new rock on the edges!
As you can see we still have to plant the cyress trees, we hope to get to those in the next few days! We love it Max had a pillow out there and was just kicking back in the yard this afternoon!

Oh the joys of living in that climate! lol! Your backyard resembles my inlaws except they have a pool in the middle with rock and cactus everywhere else. lol We live in a sandy area so our grass usually looks terrible.
I'd be kicking back relaxing out there too. It looks great!
